Functions Of The Board
To facilitate the smooth conduct of public examinations at the school level. Currently, the Board administers public examinations at Middle, Matriculation, and Senior Secondary levels.
To establish the curriculum, courses of study, and textbooks for school education. The Board operates a dedicated academic division comprising subject matter experts in all major subjects. This division is chiefly responsible for regularly formulating and updating syllabi followed by the preparation of textbooks accordingly.
To oversee the preparation, compilation, enhancement, publication, printing, and distribution of textbooks.
To manage school affiliations with the Board.
To work towards enhancing the quality of school education.
To serve as an advisory body to the state government on matters concerning School Education.
